In order to ensure the selection of competitive candidates with the potential to create excellent science at the level of the ERC grant, it will be made by the Recruitment Board, consisting of outstanding scientists representing the MUG, but also from outside the University. Research Scientists must conduct research that fits into at least one of the MUG’s Priority Research Areas:

• PRA 1 | Oncology
• PRA 2 | Cardiology and cardiovascular medicine
• PRA 3 | Biochemistry, genetics and molecular biology

III. External expert with experience as an ERC reviewer and grant winner
