As a part of implementing of the “Excellence Initiative – Research University” Program, fourteen additional places have been created at the First Doctoral School at MUG in the 2023/2024 recruitment for candidates, whose dissertation falls thematically within the Priority Research Area No. 3, i.e. biochemistry, genetics and molecular biology(discovery science), in addition to their prospective promoter demonstrating research expertise falling within the area mentioned above.

Candidates are bound by the recruitment criteria established by Resolution No. 8/2022 of the Senate of the Medical University of Gdańsk dated January 31, 2022 on establishing the conditions and procedures for recruitment to the First Doctoral School of the Medical University of Gdańsk in the academic year 2022/2023.
