Professor Brian Lawlor, professor of geriatric psychiatry at Trinity College Dublin and one of the founders of GBHI (The Global Brain Health Institute) – an institution dedicated to protecting ageing populations around the world from threats to brain health – visited the Adult Neurology Clinic at the University Medical Centre, MUG Hospital.
The visit to the Adult Neurology Clinic of the University Clinical Centre, a hospital of the Medical University of Gdańsk, coordinated by Urszula Skrobas, Ph.D., Prof. Dariusz Gąsecki, and Olga Hofman from the IDUB Programme Service Department, took place on 20 March this year and allowed for an assessment of the potential for future scientific and clinical cooperation, as well as for the discussion of topics related to raising public awareness of dementia.
Prof. Brian Lawlor is a geriatric psychiatrist specialising in dementia, late-life depression, loneliness and brain health, and his current work focuses on a preventive approach to lifelong brain health.
