Biostatistics Course

1.03.2024

The Centre of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics Analysis of the MUG is the organiser of the Biostatistics Course, which will be held on 11, 18 and 25 April and 9, 16 and 23 May this year from 14:00 to 16:00. The workshop will be conducted by Peter Grešner, Ph.D. – biophysicist, specialist in biomedical physics and statistical analysis methods in biomedical research from the CBBA.

The aim of the workshop is to improve the knowledge and skills of Ph.D. students of the First MUG Doctoral School of the MUG and young employees of the University in planning and conducting scientific experiments in medical and biological research. The course will present the basic principles of statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, as well as the use of more advanced analytical methods such as linear and logistic regression and survival analysis. Basic methods of multivariate data analysis will also be presented. There will be several practical examples along with a discussion of how to fetch/present the results of statistical analyses.
