Professor Christoph C. Zielinski – guest lecture

On 27 October 2023, our University will be visited by Prof. Christoph C. Zielinski member of the International Advisory Council. The programme of the visit includes, among others, the Department of Biochemistry, the Translational Medicine Centre, the International Research Agenda 3P – Medicine Laboratory, the Early Clinical Trials Centre, and the Department of Oncology & Radiotherapy.

At 2:45 P.M. in the seminar room of the Department of Oncology and Radiotherapy in Building D of the CMN on the first floor, Prof. Zielinski will present a lecture entitled Challenges of Immunotherapy in Cancer in an inpatient setting. Admission to the event is free.

Profile

Professor Christoph C. Zielinski headed the Department of Oncology at the Medical University of Vienna for many years. He is currently the medical director of the Central European Cancer Centre in Vienna and chairman of the Central European Cooperative Oncology Group, which brings together dozens of units from 23 countries.

Prof. Zielinski conducts extensive research into new treatments for malignant tumors, particularly breast cancer and lung cancer. He has published approximately 600 original scientific reports in peer-reviewed journals. His h-Index is 83 and the number of citations of papers with his contribution exceeds 30,000. He is the founder and editor-in-chief of the ESMO Open-Cancer Horizons journal, one of the three official journals of the European Society of Clinical Oncology.
