Subject Area and Research Team: VIII. Flow cytometry for analysis of cellular pattern and function of the immune system

Research topics

1. Search for biomarkers of physiological and pathological (successful and unsuccessful) ageing

2. Search for biomarkers (predictive and diagnostic) of chronic, ageing-related diseases (autoimmune) including connective tissue diseases, neurodegenerative, and haematological malignancies

3. Search for biomarkers predictive of therapeutic success in individual patients obtaining biologics (personalized medicine)

4. Identification of interaction between phagocytes and bacteria as predictors of infectious disease severity

5. Assessment of parameters and functionality of innate immune system in patients receiving anti-CD20 immunotherapy

6. Search for rare variants of complement genes in chronic kidney diseases
