Young Creator of Science. Recruitment for the 3rd edition has started

The Medical University of Gdańsk is launching the third edition of the call for applications for funding research projects under the “Young Creator of Science” grant program. The purpose of the Competition is to initiate and develop scientific research on research topics covering Priority Research Areas:

PRA 1 | Oncology

PRA 2 | Cardiology and cardiovascular medicine

PRA 3 | Biochemistry, genetics and molecular biology

Employees at the Medical University of Gdańsk employed in the research, as well as research and teaching units, as well as doctoral students, including participants in doctoral schools at the Medical University of Gdańsk, who meet one of the following conditions, may apply for funding:

have obtained a doctoral degree within 7 years prior to the year of application and are employed by MUG on the basis of an employment contract (this also applies to those who have obtained a postdoctoral degree within the time indicated above)
are at pre-doctoral stage and are employed by MUG under an employment contract in the group of research, as well as research and teaching employees
are doctoral students of the Medical University of Gdańsk and/or are participants of the First Doctoral School of the Medical University of Gdańsk or the Inter-University Doctoral School of Biotechnology of the University of Gdańsk and the Medical University of Gdańsk

Funding for the project is granted for a period of one year, and the amount of funding is a maximum of 50,000 PLN.

Applications should be submitted by 31.01.2025 in electronic form on the e-naukowiec portal to the IDUB Program Services Department. After generating and approving the application in the e-Scientist, print the form containing the necessary declarations and statements. The duly signed form should be emailed to Mr. Adam Bogdański of the IDUB Program Services Department. In accordance with the Regulations for the implementation of research projects in the “Young Science Creator” grant program implemented under the “Excellence Initiative – Research University”, submitted applications are subject to evaluation in a competitive procedure.
