Mattias Johansson has been working as a researcher in the Genetic Epidemiology Group of the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) since 2010. His research focuses on elucidating new aetiological factors for various cancers. The aim of this research is to establish causality for potential risk factors using biomarkers and genetic data, and to develop comprehensive and accurate risk prediction models that take into account multiple sources of information. These studies are usually conducted as part of a broad collaboration involving epidemiological studies from around the world.
