Meet our Expert of the International Advisory Council of the MUG

Prof. Christoph C. Zielinski

In the coming months, we will introduce to you the team members of the International Advisory Council established at the MUG under the “Excellence Initiative – Research University” Program. The upcoming webinar will focus on immuno-oncology.

The first webinar will take place on April 26, 2021 at 17:00 (duration of the meeting – 1.5h), and its guest will be Professor Christoph C. Zielinski, who will give a lecture entitled Immune Checkpoint Inhibitors in Cancer. Professor Zielinski is one of the leading oncologists in Europe. His main scientific interests focus on clinical research in breast and lung cancer as well as personalized medicine and immuno-oncology. Professor Zielinski headed the Department of Oncology and the Comprehensive Cancer Center at the Medical University of Vienna for many years. He currently holds the title of the Chairman of the Central European Cooperative Oncology Group (CECOG), Medical Director of the Central European Cancer Center and Wiener Privatklinik in Vienna, and is Editor-in-Chief of the European Society of Clinical Oncology (ESMO) journal ESMO Open – Cancer Horizons.
